New Hyundai Verna 

The new Hyundai Verna 2017 India launch has been confirmed for August 22, 2017. With the new Honda city facelift and Maruti Ciaz turning heat on Verna, it is the right time to bring next-generation model to reclaim zenith in the segment

Hyundai Verna 2017 is going to be based upon the brand’s Fluidic sculpture 2.0 philosophy. It will be featuring a cascading front grille which has become trademark of Hyundai’s in the recent past. Along with that it will be featuring graceful sweptback headlamps with LED DRLs, sporty bumper design with neat chrome detailing around the fog lamp as well to lend it an upmarket look. On the side profile, new Verna will be featuring a rear sloping roof line, chrome detailing around the window sills and on door handles. Also visible will be the new machine cut alloy wheels design and slightly changed C-pillar design. The rear end of the Verna shows cues from the latest Elantra with the split LED taillights and a subtle spoiler.

In terms of size, the 2017 Hyundai Verna measures 4380mm in length, 1728mm in width and 1460mm in height and gets a wheelbase of 2600mm. There is a jump up in the new version by 30 mm, moreover, 2017 Verna will also be bigger than its arch rival Honda City by a huge margin. It will be 5 mm longer, 28 mm wider and 15 mm taller than the Honda.

Styling updates to the interior will be prominent including a new design for the dashboard and some features from the global spec model like a large 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Mirror Link. The infotainment system will additionally come with voice recognition and app-based navigation.

Instead of the 7.0-inch unit, the entry-level variants will get a smaller 5.0-inch colour TFT LCD instrument display. The list of features on the new Verna will also include power-operated driver’s seat, heated front seats, multi-functional steering wheel and leather seat covers. On the safety front, the sedan will pack in standard dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and all disc brakes. Other bits like rear view camera and six airbags will be reserved for the top-spec variant.
